I am buckled in safely and on my way to the emerald mines in Hiddenite, North Carolina. My goal is to find a BIG emerald, sell it then use the money to travel around the world. What do you think my chances are of discovering a HUGE emerald? I think they are good! Emerald Hollow mines here I come. My driver says the car ride from North Florida to N.C. will take 7 hours, not including stops. YIKES!
My checklist of items to bring: candy, water, camera, card game, iPod touch, pillow & blanket.
